If your child is new to Ingenuity Prep and enrolling for the first time, see the steps below to confirm your child’s seat. Please note, this section is only for those students who were offered seats from the lottery or waitlist. If you are unsure which steps to follow, please contact us at (202) 562-0391 and we’ll be happy to help.
All of the following steps were included in the New Student Enrollment Packet, which can be downloaded here.
Computers with internet access are available at the school building for the purposes of assisting families in completing any online enrollment forms. We welcome you to come by the school building to complete your forms during the office hours listed below.
Complete the Ingenuity Prep enrollment forms here. (Online only)
This form can only be completed online through the link provided above. Prior to completing the forms, you will be asked to log in. Your login username is the same email address you used to complete your application materials on MySchoolDC. If you did not use an email address, your username is the phone number you provided to MySchoolDC when applying. Your password was shared via mail and email.

Submit the required student health documents, birth certificate, and parent ID. (Online or In-person)
Health, Dental, and Immunization documents are required for all students. Copies of each form can be easily obtained from your student’s doctor and dentist. Copies of these forms are provided in the New Student Enrollment Packet that was provided to you in the mail and by email. They are available in the New Student Enrollment Packet.
Provide proof of D.C. residency. (In-person only)
This step is required by law to be conducted by all D.C. schools. The D.C. Residency Verification Guide can be found in the New Student Enrollment Packet.
Attend a New Student Parent Meeting. (In-person only)
Two dates will be offered:
- Tuesday, April 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 25 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
You must RSVP for one of these meetings when you complete the enrollment forms (see Step 1 above).
Sign the MySchoolDC Seat Acceptance Form. (In-person only)
The signing of this form marks the last step in confirming your student’s enrollment for the 2018-19 school year. By signing this form, your child will forfeit their seat for the 2018-19 school year at their currently enrolled school (if applicable) and their spot on the waitlist of lower-ranked schools (if applicable).
All steps must be completed by May 1, 2018.
Failure to complete all steps by the deadline will result in a loss of the seat made available to your student.
