If your child is new to Ingenuity Prep and enrolling for the first time, see the steps below to confirm your child’s seat. Please note, this section is only for those students who were offered seats from the lottery or waitlist. If you are unsure which steps to follow, please contact us at (202) 562-0391 and we’ll be happy to help.
All of the following steps were included in the New Student Enrollment Packet, which can be downloaded here.
Computers with internet access are available at the school building for the purposes of assisting families in completing any online enrollment forms. We welcome you to come by the school building to complete your forms during the office hours listed below.
Complete the Ingenuity Prep enrollment forms here. (Online only)
This form can only be completed online through the link provided above. Prior to completing the forms, you will be asked to log in. Your login username is the same email address you used to complete your application materials on MySchoolDC. If you did not use an email address, your username is the email address you provided to My School DC when applying. Your password was shared via email. If you are unsure of your password or did not receive an email, please call us at (202) 562-0391.

Submit the required student health documents, birth certificate, and parent ID. (Online or In-person)
Health, Dental, and Immunization documents are required for all students. Copies of each form can be easily obtained from your student’s doctor and dentist. Copies of these forms are provided in the New Student Enrollment Packet that was provided to you in the mail and by email. They are available in the New Student Enrollment Packet.
Provide proof of D.C. residency. (In-person or email)
This step is required by law to be conducted by all D.C. schools. The D.C. Residency Verification Guide can be found in the New Student Enrollment Packet. Most D.C. Residency must be submitted in person at the school. However, beginning in April 2020, the below items may be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org:
- Lease agreement and payment receipt (this option requires a second document — see Residency Verification Guide)
- Utility bill and payment receipt (this option requires a second document — see Residency Verification Guide)
Please note that Ingenuity Prep staff will review all documents submitted and may request additional documentation or require that documents submitted electronically are re-submitted in person. Students will not be enrolled until residency verification documents are accepted.
Attend a New Student Parent Meeting. (In-person only)
Two dates will be offered:
- Tuesday, April 21 from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.
- Thursday, April 23 from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m.
You must RSVP here for one of these meetings.
Sign the My School DC Seat Acceptance Form. (Online only)
The signing of this form marks the last step in confirming your student’s enrollment for the 2020-21 school year. By signing this form, your child will forfeit their seat for the 2020-21 school year at their currently enrolled school (if applicable) and their spot on the waitlist of lower-ranked schools (if applicable).
The My School DC Seat Acceptance Form has been added to SchoolMint with other registration forms. You do not need to complete a separate paper or digital form.
All steps must be completed by May 27, 2020.
Failure to complete all steps by the deadline will result in a loss of the seat made available to your student.
