Student and Family Support Team

As a member of the Ingenuity Prep Student & Family Support Team, the Speech and Language Pathologist will collaborate with related service providers, teachers and families to ensure that students with speech and language disorders are identified and provided the highest quality speech and language therapy to address students’ particular needs.  The Speech and Language Pathologist will report directly to the K-2 RTI and Special Education Coordinator.

A candidate applying for this position should have a bachelor’s degree and masters’ degree. Candidates must be licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology by the D.C. Department of Health. At least 2-3 years of relevant school-based professional experience – either as a Speech-Language Pathologist or teacher — is preferred but not required. He/she should demonstrate exemplary social, emotional, and cultural competency and be highly-skilled in engaging and supporting young children.

As a member of the Ingenuity Prep Student & Family Support Team, the School Psychologist will support students and families, empower teachers, and collaborate with the school’s Executive Team.

A candidate applying for this position must have a master’s or doctoral degree in school psychology and must be, by his/her start date, NASP certified and eligible to evaluate students in Washington, D.C. At least 2-3 years of relevant school-based professional experience is preferred but not required. He/she should demonstrate exemplary social, emotional, and cultural competency; excellent organizational skills; compelling adult facilitation skills; and high levels of comfort in engaging and supporting young children.

A candidate applying for this position should have a masters or doctoral degree in school counseling. At least 2-3 years of relevant school-based professional experience is preferred but not required. He/she should demonstrate exemplary social, emotional, and cultural competency and be highly-skilled in engaging and supporting young children.
