Ingenuity Prep’s Chief Talent Officer will serve on the organization’s Talent Team, setting the vision for and managing others towards talent practices that enable the organization to attract, develop, and retain a staff that will 1) reverse the achievement and opportunity gaps for Ingenuity Prep’s students and 2) support the organization’s growth as it expands in the coming years to serve approximately 3,000 students and families across multiple PreK-12th grade Southeast D.C. sites.

In this role, through direct management of Talent Team members, s/he will oversee the execution of consistent, industry-leading talent practices aimed at recruiting and selecting top external talent. The Chief Talent Officer will also promote the cultivation of the internal conditions necessary to develop and retain talent by creating and enhancing robust practices in onboarding, coaching, management, career advancement, and compensation.

S/he will report to Ingenuity Prep’s Chief Executive Office and, in collaboration with senior leaders, ensure the ongoing health of the school — playing a key role in shaping strategic organizational decisions and policy.

This position is currently filled for the 2017-18 school year. The application for this position for the 2018-19 school year will open in the Spring of 2018.

Ingenuity Prep’s Director of Talent Acquisition will serve on the organization’s Talent Team, managing internal talent systems and leading the recruitment and selection of an exemplary talent pool across a range of positions in the organization. In this role, s/he will play a key role in supporting the growth of the organization as it expands in the coming years to serve approximately 3,000 students and families across multiple PreK-12th grade Southeast D.C. sites.

The Director of Talent Acquisition will report to Ingenuity Prep’s Chief Talent Officer. In this role, s/he will build and maintain external relationships that establish the school’s brand and invest others in joining the team, serve as a thought partner to hiring managers and senior leaders around selection and retention practices, and inform the school’s broader talent strategy.

S/he will track team progress towards recruitment and selection goals, manage recruitment and sourcing; facilitate setup and use of online selection systems; manage selection of new staff; and coordinate onboarding, evaluation, and retention efforts with other functional teams.

As the network grows, the Director of Talent Acquisition’s role will expand to assume management of additional Talent Team members. The role is designed to support a rising talent star’s growth into a team leader.
