Before and After-school Program

At Ingenuity Prep, the school day runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Friday. To provide additional learning opportunities and support the needs of our parents and families, we provided before and after care at our school building for Ingenuity Prep students.

Before-school

Before-care begins each school day at 7 a.m. Students arriving at the school building between 7 a.m. and 7:25 a.m. may participate in before-care activities. Students do not need to be registered and there is no cost for participating in before-care.

Students arriving after 7:25 a.m. will need to wait outside — accompanied by an adult — until the school building opens at 7:35 a.m. for breakfast. Breakfast is free for all students. The school day starts at 8 a.m.

After-school

After-care is available to Ingenuity Prep students on a fee-basis. See below for details on our after-care program and how to register.

Schedule

After-care runs from immediately after dismissal ends until 6 p.m. each day school is in session, following this schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday – 4:20 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday – 1:10 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Additionally, after-care is also available on once-a-month Field Trip Wednesdays and Family Teacher Conference days when students are released at 1:00 p.m.

On full-day PD days, holidays, or other days in which school is not in session, no after-care programming will be run.

Costs

In order to support a robust programming option after the school day, participation in after-care is fee-based. Fees for after-care participation are outlined below:

  • Weekly Rate (includes M-F)
    • One student = $45.00 per week
    • Additional sibling = $35.00 per week
    • Family (three or more students) = $100.00

Families on a Weekly Rate plan will be billed on the 15th of the month for the month ahead and will be required to pay by the start of the month. So, for example, for participation in After-care for September, families will be billed by August 15th and will be required to pay by September 1st.

  • Daily/Drop-in Rate
    • $15/day per student

Families who incur a Drop-in Rate fee will be billed on a one-time basis for each drop-in occurrence.

Failure to pay fees in a timely manner will result in your student no longer being able to participate in after-care programming.

Registration

Registration for after-care will be available online soon. Registration will be available at the New Family Meeting on August 10th and at Back-to-School Night on August 17th.
