Due to a delay in receiving part of our Chromebook shipment, we need to adjust the dates and times for Chromebook and supply kit distribution. Distribution will now follow the schedule below.
It is important that every family picks up Chromebooks for their student(s) on these days. Unlike last Spring, using an Ingenuity Prep Chromebook will be a required part of our virtual academic program.
Families must complete the family survey and technology agreement here before picking up a Chromebook.
- Middle School Academy (5th – 7th) — Wednesday & Thursday, August 19th & 20th (8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
- Early Childhood Academy (PreK – K) — Tuesday & Wednesday, August 25th & 26th (8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.).
- Elementary School Academy (1st – 4th) —Tuesday & Wednesday, August 25th & 26th (8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
If you have a student in more than one academy, you should plan to come in the pick-up window for your oldest student.
Please wear a mask when you come to pick up materials and practice social distancing. Please see the schedule below for the day to pick up your student’s Chromebook and supplies:
If you still have your Chromebook from last year, you must use it for the upcoming year. If the Chromebook is broken, please bring it during your academy pick up time to receive a new one. If it is lost, please let us know during your academy pick up time and we will provide a new one. Starting this year, students with lost or broken Chromebooks will pay a fee to replace or repair the Chromebook.
To ensure we are best prepared to instruct your child at the start of the year, we will be giving each student a diagnostic assessment in reading and math. A diagnostic assessment is a test that identifies your child’s academic strengths and weaknesses in preparation for grade level content. We will use the data we collect to make informed decisions about how to best close any academic gaps that exist. All assessments will be given online using the school issued Chromebook. Our goal is to test all K-7th students on most of the assessments before the start of the year. We will assess all of our PK3 and PK4 students at the start of the school year. Your child’s teacher will be reaching out to you in the coming week to schedule a testing block during the week of August 24th.
We are excited to kick off our virtual home visits for the 20-21 school year. A virtual home visit is an opportunity for parents/caregivers, the student and the teachers to connect on how each can best support the academic and social emotional hopes and dreams for the student.
In Pre-K through 4th grade, we would like to take the first 15-20 minutes of the beginning-of-year testing window you choose to hold this meeting. Teachers will share more information when they reach out to schedule your child’s assessment window.
In 5th through 7th grade, teachers will reach out to schedule separate times to connect for the home visit outside of the testing block as we will need the full testing block to give our middle schoolers their diagnostic assessments.

Starting August 31st, Ingenuity Prep will provide meals for students on a daily basis from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM while school remains virtual. Students or their family members can pick-up student meals. Multiple days of meals can be picked up at one time. Meal pick-up will be located by the 3-5 entrance.
