Ingenuity Prep has a modified Attendance and Engagement Policy during virtual learning!
Students will be marked Engaged or Not Engaged for every class block .
Students are marked “Engaged” when they have either attended a synchronous (Zoom) class meeting or have submitted the assignments within 2 days of the class meeting or the following Monday, whichever is earlier (e.g., work for Monday classes is due by 9 AM Wednesday; work for Friday classes is due by 9 AM Monday).
Students are marked “Not Engaged” for a lesson when they have neither attended the Zoom class meeting nor submitted the work by the appropriate deadline. Work submitted after the deadline may be included in a student’s grade, but will not change their Engagement status.
Students are reported “Absent” when they have not attended any of their synchronous (Zoom) classes for a day nor submitted any class work by the deadline as listed above.
Additional policies and information on school performance, charter agreements, and financial information are available on the Ingenuity Prep school profile page of the D.C. Public Charter School Board website.
