Uniforms

There are two primary components of the Ingenuity Prep uniform:

1. An Ingenuity Prep-branded shirt (Navy Blue in ECA &ESA; Gray in MSA)
2. Khaki/Tan-colored bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts, etc.)

Students must wear the official, Ingenuity Prep-branded short-sleeve or long-sleeve Polo shirt and bottoms each and every school day. Students who are not in uniform will be required to be in uniform prior to being in class. Please see below (“Procedures When Students Are Not In Uniform”) for additional details.

For uniform shirts, the shirts must be tucked in at all times. The uniform shirt must be the outermost layer of clothing. Students may wear undershirts, only if the uniform shirt is worn on top. Undergarment shirts must be either solid color white, blue, navy, or black.

For uniform bottoms, all students have the option of choosing from among the following uniform bottoms: pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, or dresses. Uniform bottoms must be a solid khaki/tan color. Bottoms should not be baggy or multi-pocketed. Cargo-style bottoms are not permitted. Shorts, skirts, and dresses should be no shorter than 1 inch above the knee and no longer than knee-length. Bottoms may not have holes, rips, and/or tears (whether intentional or unintentional). Additionally, bottoms may not have other adornments (i.e. sequins, beads, etc.).

Ingenuity Prep is a supportive school community dedicated to academic rigor and civic leadership, preparing students for the path to the colleges and careers of their choosing.
